Roofing help in the Las Vegas Valley
Most homes in the Las Vegas Valley have concrete tile roofs, with flat and foam roofs common on older and commercial buildings. The tiles themselves often outlast the underlayment beneath them, and intense UV plus summer monsoon storms are what usually expose problems.
Roof Repair
Cracked or slipped tiles, worn flashing and dried-out underlayment are the most common repair items on valley roofs.
Roof Replacement
When underlayment fails across a tile roof, a common fix is a "lift and relay": tiles are removed, new underlayment goes down and the good tiles go back on.
Roof Leak Repair
Leaks often appear as ceiling stains after a monsoon storm, even though the damage may have been building for years.
Storm Damage Roof Repair
Monsoon season (roughly July through September) brings strong wind gusts and short, heavy downpours that can lift tiles and damage flashing.

Common questions
How do I check a roofer's license in Nevada?
Roofing contractors are licensed by the Nevada State Contractors Board. You can verify a license number at nscb.nv.gov.
Does homeowners insurance cover roof leaks?
It depends on your policy and the cause. Sudden storm damage is treated differently from wear and tear, so check with your insurer before work begins.
